When In Doubt Make Something Up

October 5, 2008

What a day it has been for the election. Joe Biden’s mother in law dies, so Palin mocks him for leaving event goers high and dry. Of course what can you expect from a woman who waited around 4 hours to give a political speech after her water broke. Let’s get on with the wrap-up.

GOP to file fundraising complaint against Obama - Yahoo! News
WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee plans to file a fundraising complaint against Democrat Barack Obama’s presidential campaign Monday, alleging it has accepted donations that exceed federal limits as well as illegal contributions from foreigners.

RNC officials acknowledged Sunday that they do not have a list of foreign donors to Obama’s campaign. Instead, the complaint is based largely on media reports, including one from the conservative Web site Newsmax.

Hey what can you do when you have no evidence, except get some party insider to make it up and then file a claim citing it as a reasonable cause for a fishing expedition. I wonder if this was Todd Palin’s contribution to the campaign, sort of like he does as Alaska’s first dud, I mean Alaska’s first dude. Sarah’s contribution for the day was to continue to defend her comments about Barack ‘pallin around with terrorists’. Of course she was talking about George, Dick, Karl or Rummy, the four stooges.

Palin defends terrorist comment against Obama - Yahoo! News
OMAHA, Neb. - Sarah Palin defended her claim that Barack Obama “pals around with terrorists,” saying the Democratic presidential nominee’s association with a 1960s radical is an issue that is “fair to talk about.”

Obama has denounced the radical views and actions of Bill Ayers, a founder of the violent Weather Underground group during the Vietnam era. On Sunday, Obama dismissed the criticism from the McCain campaign, leveled by Palin, as “smears” meant to distract voters from real problems such as the troubled economy.

Obama Says McCain Is Trying to Distract Voters With Attacks - Yahoo! News
Oct. 5 (Bloomberg) — Barack Obama dismissed attacks on his character, saying presidential rival John McCain is trying to distract voters from the financial crisis and the Republican’s support for President George W. Bush’s economic policies.

With one month until election day, both candidates are sharpening their rhetoric. Illinois Senator Obama is focusing on the economy and attacking McCain’s health-care plan, while the Arizona senator’s campaign said it will focus on Obama’s “liberal” record.

“Senator McCain and his operatives are gambling that they can distract you with smears rather than talk to you about substance,” Obama, 47, said today in Asheville, North Carolina. “That’s what you do when you’re out of touch, out of ideas, and running out of time.”

When Barack Obama stands up for himself and tells it how it is, the Republican machine says hey lets attack him for that too.

McCain Backers Expand Attacks on Obama’s Character, Patriotism - Yahoo! News
Republican Representative Heather Wilson of New Mexico said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, “has been critical not only of the president but of American policy and hence has kind of a negative view of America in the world.”

Yes when someone questions failed policy’s and the most unpopular president ever who made them lets just go out and call them unpatriotic. This has got to be one of the most laughable positions I have seen the GOP take lately since a fair number of their own party think President George W Bush is a total dipshit and a complete failure.

This has been your Sunday campaign wrap-up enjoy the rest of your night. I look forward to bringing your all the news in depth first thing in the morning.
