Band of Brothers or Thick as Thieves
May 31, 2008
No big surprises from washington over the Scott McClellan book. People in power think he is horrible man for turning on his former boss. Nothing screams we are a fraternal order of bullies and you shouldn’t mess with us, than a democrat coming out and saying poor president Bush, his former lackeys don’t like him.
Terry McAuliffe, the former head of the Democratic National Committee who now is chairman of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign committee, said Mr. McClellan was “wrong” to write the book.
“I find it abhorrent the way these people come out and write books about their boss. It made ‘em money, it made ‘em prestige, it gave them all this power and then they turn around and slap ‘em,” Mr. McAuliffe said in an interview this week with National Journal.
“I don’t care who it is — Democrat, Republican — it’s wrong,” he said.
I notice in several reports no one will call Scott and out and out liar. Even Bob Dole thinks the man is despicable.
“You should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high-profile job,” Mr. Dole said. “You’re a hot ticket now, but don’t you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?”
Give me a break. Get over it the man wrote a book that slams someone most of the people speaking out against Scott go out of their way to bad mouth. What all of this really says to me is the corrupt you should be careful who you trust. This sudden chumminess also gives new meaning to the phrase thick as theives in my book.
