Some of you know I am in the process of getting rid of my landline phone.  When I was googling some new phone features I hit on a great little site, for software, themes, and reviews.

Though it doesn’t have as many recent updates there was much to look at as you dug into the meet of the site.  For example it took a little digging but there were several interesting animated Nokia themes.

Palin questions McCain’s concession of Michigan - Yahoo! News

SAN ANTONIO - Sarah Palin questioned Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s decision to abandon efforts to win Michigan, a campaign move she only learned about Friday morning when she read it in the newspapers.

Excuse me if I don’t believe she actually read a newspaper, much multiples as the quote suggests.  Oh she might have seen the headline on her way to the funny pages, but I doubt she read it.  I wonder if she can read the writing on the walls that says John McCain knows he screwed up by picking Caribou Barbie as a running mate.

Palin acknowledged the GOP ticket’s lackluster poll ratings in the state, but said: “I want to get back to Michigan and I want to try.”

I wonder if beating a dead wolf or caribou work any better for her than beating a dead horse does for anyone else. If she wants to go back on a state that has been conceded more than a month before the election then she has yet to grasp the meaning of fruitless. Of course those cold seasons up in Alaska might mean their isn’t enough local fruit for the plain and simple hockey mom to know the difference between fruitless and sterile.

Fresh off an upbeat debate performance, Palin told a ballroom full of $1,000 donors in Dallas that McCain advisers warned her that Biden was “a skilled debater.”

Yes he was so skilled that she decided she didn’t have to play by the rules established for the debate beforehand. I mean come on the whole thing was dumbed down to fit her supposed skill level to start with then she starts of by saying she wouldn’t actually participate in the debate.

Early on, she made the astonishing announcement that she had no intentions of actually answering the queries put to her. “I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I’m going to talk straight to the American people and let them know my track record also,” she said.

All I can say is I am glad Canada isn’t that far away, if Caribou Barbie and Old Man Forgetful win.

More people need to be talking about the Sarah Palin what if. At McCain’s age he doesn’t have great odds of surviving the next 4 years, so we need to be talking more about the angry old man’s choice as vice president. While the conservative base love her, would the more moderate republicans chance her becoming president? She is a religious nutjob who holds onto grudges like a Scotsman holds onto a penny. Is this really a woman you want to give the nuclear codes to?

It doesn’t seem to matter what I do these days there is always some yahoos finding their way to my blog in search of a tag term. Yesterday’s big search term was for penis. Their is nothing wrong with this other than the fact it queers my bounce rate. I do however love it when people search for ‘penis and dick’ and through magic of Google logic end up on any number of posts I mention the vice president. Regardless of that both of these images caught my eye for Irony today and needed to be posted on such a slow news day.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former Republican Sen. Phil Gramm said

Friday that he is stepping down as co-chairman of Sen. John McCain’s

presidential campaign amid criticism for saying last week that “we have

sort of become a nation of whiners.”

I actually can’t say I disagree with Phil on this. In fact I might take it a step further and say we have become The Bitch and Moan Nation. I am however not going to say we are without cause. Our government has let us down for too long. No one really noticed or listened to the people it was crapping on the most for decades, because everything was pretty good for most people. These days most people are struggling a lot more than they ever thought they would have to.

We are for the first time in our history looking around, scratching our heads, and saying to anyone who will listen “WTF happened?” The devoutly middle class aren’t struggling to make two car payments and having to decide whether or not they can really afford a boat. The middle class are now trying to figure out how they pay their utilities, meet their mortgage and have to balance the food budget against having enough gas to get back and forth to work until the next pay check. People are angry. Some are whining. Some are screaming. We are angry and we have a right to be so. That said we also have a responsibility to change it for the better.

BTW: I am pretty sure electing John McCain will only make it worse not better.
